Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is a collection of data, technology, and people that work together to tie things to a relevant location, and by answering the question of “Where?” hopefully, we help answer questions such as “How?” and “Why?”

Our Mission:

The Geographic Information System (GIS) Department endeavors to develop and maintain accurate geospatial information for Bannock County, the public, and our partners. This is accomplished through professional, collaborative efforts as we aim to provide prompt and effective geospatial data management with maps, tools, and services necessary for all to be productive, efficient, and informed.

The GIS office at Bannock County administers several data sets, many of which are available freely for public viewing via our online, interactive maps (click the orange “Map Gallery” box above).  We also have some basic parcel information available for download HERE.
